How Everything Started

My journey with minimalism started a few years ago when I lived in a very small apartment in the city. Like most people, I owned a lot of things, and my apartment and cellar were cluttered with stuff. I also experienced the same with some people in my family, sometimes the situation was even worse.

So I decided to make a change. Already in the beginning I realised, that this change not only affected the stuff I owned, but also my mind. Because after you start decluttering, you maybe end up again in the same situation as before, and start buying again all this unnecessary stuff. That's why you should start changing your mind and your habits.

Identify whats stopping you living the life of your dreams and eliminate them. This can be stuff, people, bad health, work that is not fulfilling and also passions not to live out. That means there is a lot of work waiting for you.

For me, I looked for advice in books and the internet. I stumbled across The Minimalists (Joshua Fields Millburn & Ryan Nicodemus) real quick. Their sense of living inspired myself a lot and I bought their book Minimalism: Live a Meaningful Life and read it in a few days. It's packed with value and good advice. I can really recommend to read it if you are just starting out. I pasted a link below if you are interested in buying it.
